TYPE-XII Tomokazu Matsuyama project 003 is a collaboration between A-POC ABLE ISSEY MIYAKE and Tomokazu Matsuyama, the New York–based contemporary artist whose vibrant works have gained international acclaim. For this project, a selection of Matsuyama’s artworks was reconstructed within a single piece of fabric, bringing together A-POC ABLE ISSEY MIYAKE’s innovative design process and the artist’s multifaceted imagery to explore new possibilities at the intersection of art and design. Crafted in a Kyoto workshop, the vividly printed fabric is overlaid with a triangular hardening pattern, creating a dynamic three-dimensional texture that changes with movement.
