WALL WHITE HEM

A series that expresses patterns reminiscent of a brush sweeping across a wall. The print was applied at a dyeing factory in Kyoto onto a light chiffon material woven from a blend of cotton and silk. Layering three separate screens creates a gradation of light and dark tones, while areas of plain white placed at intervals further enhance the sense of depth in the pattern.
