me ISSEY MIYAKE presents the new appeals of the brand’s signature STRETCH PLEATS material each season through a variety of visuals.

This season, it depicts unique objects that appear amongst everyday scenery together with the diverse looks of STRETCH PLEATS.

In addition to a silhouette that changes with the movement of the body, the visuals feature shape and volume created by wrapping objects. “Playfulness” born from the relationship between people, spaces, and material is expressed with lightness.

me ISSEY MIYAKE’s STRETCH PLEATS was developed as daily clothing that everyone can enjoy comfortably, and has been continued since the brand’s inception. This series features tops that are light and easy to care for, with fine vertical and horizontal pleats that allow them to freely stretch and contract. They are available in playful colours and patterns that change with each season.

An exhibition related to the new visuals for “STRETCH PLEATS” will also be held in me ISSEY MIYAKE / AOYAMA from Monday, 1 June to Tuesday, 30 June and in ISSEY MIYAKE SEMBA | CREATION SPACE from Saturday, 1 August to Wednesday, 26 August.
