IROGAMI SALT DYE

The technique of salt dyeing (“SALT DYE”) has been newly applied to the “IROGAMI” series of tote bags, which feature a fun design resembling three layered sheets of coloured paper. Salt dyeing is a technique created by dyeing workshops that have cultivated dyeing processes and techniques over many years in the Kojima area of Okayama Prefecture by the Seto Inland Sea. Artisans sprinkle salt containing dye and rub it in, creating bags from fabric with a one-of-a-kind look.
