UROKOMON

This series was inspired by the works of ceramic artist Shoji Kamoda, which are characterised by scale-like designs. Bonding opal processing was used to create the unique texture of his works in textile. First, part of the pattern was printed onto the base fabric, cotton fabric was bonded on top, and then the entire pattern was printed again to create layering. Next, using highly precise and advanced printing technology, a special chemical agent was coated onto designated areas of the upper cotton fabric. Finally, after washing in water, the areas of the cotton fabric not covered by print layers were dissolved, allowing the printed pattern on the base fabric to emerge and creating an uneven texture reminiscent of Kamoda’s works. A light jacket and two-piece outfits are available, with motifs based on the form of plates that fuse dynamic curves and straight lines.
