TYPE-XI Spiber project

“TYPE-XI Spiber project” showcases the power of technology and design in an endeavour to address societal challenges and take steps toward a sustainable future. The second series under this project features a bolero and a dress. Brewed Protein™ fibers, which use non-dyed weft threads to make the most of the material's natural colour, is woven into the garments. The different shrinkage rates between these fibers and polyester thread are then utilised to form pleats using the Steam Stretch technique.
