09.09.2025 | CORPORATE Moleskine & Moleskine Foundation Presents “Detour Tokyo” at 21_21 DESIGN SIGHT Gallery 3

The exhibition, “Detour Tokyo”, will be held at 21_21 DESIGN SIGHT Gallery 3 from Wednesday, 10 September through Tuesday, 23 September.

Detour Tokyo

“Detour” is a travelling group exhibition of the Moleskine Foundation Collection: an exceptional gathering of more than 1,600 artworks on Moleskine notebooks created by artists, architects, film directors, graphic designers, musicians, illustrators and writers of international acclaim, as well as students, cultural organizations and individuals from all walks of life. The notebooks have been decorated, hacked, sculpted, and reconstructed into singular pieces of art.

After London, Shanghai, Paris, New York, Milan and the recent exhibition at Osaka-Kansai Expo 2025, Detour will finally arrive in Tokyo at 21_21 DESIGN SIGHT Gallery 3.

To commemorate the Tokyo edition, 16 new works have been donated with the collaboration of curator Yuko Hasegawa and SKAC (SKWAT KAMEARI ART CENTRE), a bookstore and cultural hub in Kameari. The new participating artists include poet Gozo Yoshimasu, sculptor Kohei Nawa, actor Rihito Itagaki, artist Asami Kiyokawa, designer Kunihiko Morinaga, architectural collective GROUP, artist Saiko Otake, sculptor Tetsuya Nakamura, artist Lauren Tsai, singer AiNA THE END, and designer Yosuke Matsumoto (MIYAKE DESIGN STUDIO), among others. Altogether, the exhibition will showcase 41 works spanning diverse creative fields. Several of the works incorporate NOTE-A-NOTE, a forthcoming collaborative design object by MIYAKE DESIGN STUDIO.

Discover Moleskine Detour and Moleskine notebooks as you are invited to unleash your genius, your creative mind, through one of the most iconic everyday tools. Demonstrate the power of creativity to transform individuals and their communities through the simple act of putting pen to paper.
