CAMPER x ISSEY MIYAKE Peu Form

ISSEY MIYAKE is pleased to announce Peu Form, our first footwear project in collaboration with Camper. This partnership brings together two brands, each with 50 years of history and expertise, in a new initiative aimed at reasserting the value of handwork in everyday life and creating shoes that combine creative ideas with functionality.

Peu, which means “foot” in the language of Mallorca, is one of Camper’s signature series. Peu Form was developed around the concept of “a piece of cloth” by Satoshi Kondo, who felt a strong affinity with the foundational idea of the “body” in ISSEY MIYAKE’s manufacturing. Each shoe has an unstructured form that wraps the foot in a single piece of leather, which offers a comfortable, enveloping fit and makes the shoes easy to slip on and off. The shoes can also be worn like slippers by stepping on the heel counter.

Ahead of the release, a limited-time event will be held at StandBy in Omotesando from Friday, 11 July. On the opening day, dancer and choreographer Mariko Kakizaki is scheduled to give a performance set to music composed by Koki Nakano, a composer and pianist based in France.

In addition, from Tuesday, 15 July, an exhibition will be held at SHIKAKU in ISSEY MIYAKE SHINJUKU, along with another limited-time event at GATE on the first floor of Shibuya PARCO.
