SPRING SUMMER 2026
EXHIBITION
IM MEN presented a special exhibition DANCING TEXTURE from 28 June to 1 July.

The concept for our Spring Summer 2026 collection, our second participation in Paris Fashion Week, was inspired by the work of Japanese ceramic artist Shoji Kamoda (1933–1983). From the moment we encountered Kamoda’s pieces, which are not confined within the boundaries of traditional Japanese crafts, we instinctively felt that “we wanted to wear them as garments”. As we continued our research, we were deeply moved by Kamoda’s unwavering dedication and sincere approach to his creative practice, as well as his forward-looking spirit, ever in search of a fresh perspective and distinctive sculptural beauty. These qualities provided us with both stimulation and profound insight.
The collection amplifies the senses awakened through our quiet dialogue with Kamoda’s work, and expresses them as garments. We were struck by the impact of his creations, and we hope these pieces become something that evoke the same sensation of wonder in those who wear them.
This exhibition featured garments presented during the show, displayed flat in two-dimensions and as styled three-dimensional looks on mannequins. We also showcased the threads and fabrics used in their creation, offering a glimpse into the making process. In addition, visitors can view two original works by Shoji Kamoda that served as sources of inspiration, along with video footage capturing their intricate details.
During the exhibition, special guided tours led by the design team were held, providing a deeper understanding of the design and making behind IM MEN.
