AUTUMN WINTER 2026/27
SHOW
Formless Form
Anticipation of a new beginning.
Awe in the face of beauty.
A silent resolve.
Formless feelings,
have long been translated into form.
Form is merely a symbol,
while the true essence rests deep within.
As the surface is pared away,
drawn closer to that quiet presence,
from a piece of cloth,
the sense of something “proper”
begins to rise.
The IM MEN Autumn Winter 2026/27 collection, FORMLESS FORM was presented on Thursday, 22 January, at the Collège des Bernardins, a former school built in the 13th century in Paris's 5th arrondissement.
Dawn and dusk, they appear at the seam of a day.
Moments when something begins, and when something ends.
Could the sensation that rises in everyday life, that makes you want to straighten up, be expressed through a piece of cloth?
This collection begins with considering that question.
“Just a piece of cloth to form something proper.”
Stepping away from pre-existing ideas of shapes and forms, this collection explores the essence hidden within formality. From a piece of cloth, IM MEN created garments that convey a “proper” attitude and intention, born from unrestricted freedom of creativity.
